Our client, a highly reputable membership body (professional services) is seeking a Membership Director for the North East region. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Membership Director for a professional body and will be responsible for overseeing operations in the region. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset.
Main Responsibilities of the Membership Director
- Enhance the visibility and reputation of the organisation among both its members and external stakeholders.
- Showcase the value that the organisation brings to its members' professional lives and highlight its contributions to the broader business and economic landscape.
- Support member career development: Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and active local volunteers, provide support and resources at a regional and local level to members as they progress in their careers. Develop relevant activities to drive member engagement, including professional development activities and resources, networking opportunities, and support to ensure that members continue to excel and grow in their respective fields.
- Devise & implement regional strategy: Execute the organisation's strategic plans at regional level by tailoring initiatives and activities to the specific needs and dynamics of the region and aligning regional efforts with the broader organisational goals.
- Lead the regional team: Lead and manage the regional team based in the North East, Yorkshire & The Humber Region. Provide direction, guidance, and support to team members to ensure they effectively contribute to the organisation’s strategy and objectives.
- Embrace and respond to economic & business transformation: Adapt and embrace changes brought about by economic and business transformation, in particular technological advancements, changes in industry trends, and evolving member expectations, ensuring that the member experience remains positive and relevant.
- Financial and resource oversight: Effectively manage the financial, resource and operational aspects of the region to ensure efficient regional operations.
- Reporting and analysis: Ensure that timely and accurate reports are produced that provide insights through member feedback and data analysis. Reports to showcase the outcomes and impact of local and regional activities
- Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs
