Role: Teacher of English
Hours: 0.6 FTE

We are looking for an exceptional Teacher of English to join our team on a part-time basis, with flexibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across allocated classes.
Set and assess challenging, ambitious work, in line with the School and Department assessment policies.
Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, keeping records and writing reports as required.
Collaborate as part of the English Department.
Participate actively in professional development, maintaining a sense of curiosity and ambition.
Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are fully adhered to, protecting the welfare of all pupils.
Contribute to the school’s pastoral care, supporting the community to be the best version of itself.
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong passion for English, with an energetic and accessible teaching style.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to inspire confidence and curiosity in pupils.
Proven ability to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that challenge and support pupils of diverse abilities and needs.
Skilled at adapting teaching styles to suit individual situations, fostering an environment where pupils feel confident to ask questions and share ideas.
Strong literacy, numeracy, and data analysis skills, with the ability to report clearly on outcomes.
Competence in using ICT to support teaching and learning, as well as data management.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work accurately under pressure and prioritize effectively.
Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and life beyond the classroom.
