Hays is supporting local secondary schools in hiring outstanding Science Technicians to join their teams. As Science Technician, you will work closely with the Head of Department to support teaching and learning by ensuring equipment and resources are prepared and in good working order, to facilitate effective lessons.
Your new role
We are looking to recruit a science technician to assist teaching staff in lesson preparation and in class support. The technician will coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum. The Science Technicians play a key role in the success of the Science department, and you will be a member of a team of technicians who support all aspects of the science curriculum from KS3 to KS5. The ability to work well in a team as well as be self-motivated is a requirement.
What You'll Need To Succeed
Previous experience of working in a school laboratory environment would be advantageous.
A level (or equivalent) in Biology is a requirement.
