Location: The Harborne Hospital Contract Type: Permanent, full time 37.5 hours Salary range: This role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience About the facility: The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 inpatient bed and 16 day case bed multi-speciality private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has a deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery. What you’ll do: As the specialised Physiologist Lead, you will be required to clinically lead the Cardiology service. We are looking for someone with demonstrable leadership ability, who can motivate others, build relationships and develop a service. You will have highly specialist clinical knowledge and skills in either interventional cardiology including EP or non-invasive cardiac physiological investigations. You will deliver expert care for patients undergoing diagnosis and treatment at the hospital, whilst having responsibility for leading a team, supporting your line manager with delegated leadership and management responsibilities, ensuring evidence based governance for your area of expertise, and be a point of contact for customer and consultant queries consistently providing the highest quality communication and experience. You will assist in managing the technical resources efficiently and effectively, and be involved in business development, as required by the department manager. The Physiologist Lead is accountable both to the Surgical Services manager, and accountable for the staff that report into them. This role is integral to the effective running of our cardiac service; ensuring a high quality non-invasive cardiac provision is provided. Skills & Experience BSE or European Cardiovascular Imaging Accreditation Registered/accredited by the RCCP, IBHRE and/or BHRS would be desirable Substantial post qualification experience of working within a cardiology department Have extensive experience in performing procedures at independent practitioner level within scope of specialised practice Substantial post graduate clinical experience Previous leadership / mentoring of clinical and non-clinical staff Up to date ALS/ILS Previous experience in Private sector desirable Employment Package: We will look after you with private healthcare insurance for you and your family, contributory pension scheme and a vast range of additional rewards. 25 days annual leave bank holidays (which increases with years of service.)
