Role Overview: As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen staff in the preparation and delivery of meals to our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of meals under the guidance of our head chef and kitchen staff.
Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and well-maintained at all times.
Help with the receipt and storage of food supplies.
Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
Assist with serving meals to residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met with compassion and understanding.
Support the kitchen team with dishwashing and other cleaning duties as required.
Requirements:
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety (training will be provided).
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
Compassionate and patient, with a genuine desire to work within a care home setting.
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
