Position Title: Locum Medical Registrar

Reports To: Consultant Physician
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Medical Registrar to join our NHS Trust on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical care across various specialties, including but not limited to:
- Cardiology
- Gastroenterology
- Respiratory Medicine
- Endocrinology
- Nephrology
- Rheumatology
- Infectious Diseases
- Neurology
- Hematology
- Oncology
- Dermatology
- General Internal Medicine
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and formulate differential diagnoses.
- Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage acute medical emergencies and provide ongoing care for inpatients and outpatients.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests, imaging, and biopsies.
- Prescribe and review medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Patient Care:
- Ensure the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Professional Development:
- Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and training programs.
- Engage in reflective practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend regular departmental meetings, grand rounds, and clinical audits.
Teaching and Supervision:
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to teaching sessions and educational activities within the department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Medical Degree: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Professional Registration: Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
- Postgraduate Qualification: MRCP (UK) or equivalent (Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom).
- Fellowship Program: Completion of, or enrollment in, a relevant fellowship program is desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience with substantial exposure to various medical specialties.
Skills:
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competence in handling acute medical emergencies.
NHS Requirements:
- Mandatory Training: Completion of mandatory NHS training modules, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Professional Indemnity: Evidence of professional indemnity insurance.
- Occupational Health Clearance: Full occupational health clearance, including immunizations.
- Right to Work: Proof of right to work in the UK.
Membership and Fellowship Programs:
- Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Membership (MRCP):
- Completion of MRCP (UK) Part 1 and Part 2 Written Exams.
- Success in the MRCP (UK) Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills (PACES).

- candidate must be flexible in travelling.
- Candidate must able to start with one months.
