You’ll monitor progress against outcome targets within your area, proactively resolving any escalations if there is potential for a target to be missed.
Understanding work attributes and comparing optimal dates, you’ll recalculate and evaluate Cost/Risk/Performance contribution scores against Portfolio outcomes to determine which work has the higher priority, placing highest priority work in the plan.
You’ll input outages into proprietary business system, ensuring plans are visible and data is of high quality, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams within the business to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
We’re flexible on where you’re based, but we would like to see you at our offices in Warwick, ideally once a week, and this can be combined with hybrid working from home. There will also be the need for site visits occasionally throughout the year.
We’re looking for someone either who has knowledge of substations, and their assets, or with a background in high volume planning or utilities.
A good understanding of Asset Maintenance and resource requirements, is key, as is knowledge of the Planning Processes across all work types and planning framework. OR, you have experience of managing resource plans and other constraints in a high volume environment, which would be an advantage, as would a detailed working knowledge of planning processes.
You’ll need good project management, stakeholder management, decision-making and prioritisation skills, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate complex issues and their resolution.
You’ll also need an understanding of the business context to support and inform Portfolio decision making, paired with knowledge of the commercial aspects of the National Grid business model.
