We’re seeking a Pharmacy Foundation Training Lead to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the delivery of the foundation training programme for trainee pharmacists in the South West, supporting the implementation of the initial education and training of pharmacists (IETP) reform in line with national direction.
The post-holder will be a key member of the NHSE SW WT&E Pharmacy team whose overarching goal will be to lead the delivery of this exciting workforce programme. The role will lead a team of educators to support trainee pharmacists and their supervisors in the region, and is critical in supporting the effective workforce pipeline, ensuring high quality training to pharmacy professionals both now and in the future.

The post holder will work closely with the Head of School and Regional Head of Pharmacy to oversee the delivery and quality management of foundation training for pharmacists within the region.
The post holder will be highly visible and work collaboratively within the regional footprint, alongside stakeholders which include universities, employers, the Integrated Care Systems in the South West, and regulatory bodies such as the GPhC.
