Due to the relocation of our current Marketing Manager, we are now recruiting for our Marketing Vacancy(s).
This marketing vacancy(s) covers a wide scope and can be broken down into the following areas:
- Strategic & creative planning
- Copywriting and communications
- Digital marketing & social media management
- Graphic design
- Customer relationship management
- Event planning
- Ad hoc projects
With the varied skill set required for this vacancy, it can be fulfilled by one individual who has a wide skill set or it can be a job share with the skill set being split accordingly depending on areas of expertise.
We are looking for individuals who have a strong creative vision, passion and experience of delivering high-impact projects, and who are looking for their next move to progress their career. You will lead our marketing efforts and must have strategic thinking, seek solutions to challenges, as well as having some design experience, and must be able to demonstrate the successes of your career to date.

The Marketing vacancy is based at our head office in Rosemount Place Aberdeen with some travel to our Inverurie and Banchory offices as required.
The core responsibilities of the vacancy(s) include but are not limited to:
- Work closely with all team members to deliver a marketing strategy to promote our services across our area boundary in the North East
- Keep up-to-date with market changes, including competitor activity, and propose and implement plans as a result of findings
- Ensure all marketing materials have correct messaging, and are distributed in timely manner
- Ensure window displays and digital screens are kept up to date; work with property managers to promote all properties available on a timely basis
- Write and distribute blogs, newsletters, social media posts, and any other marketing materials where applicable
- Update our website, taking responsibility for timely changes
- Update our customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Organise and deliver events and webinars
- Create and implement campaign plans
- Manage and track marketing spend
- Implement brand guidelines in line with franchise guidelines
- Building automated campaigns
- Work closely with Northwood’s chosen external collaborators and internal franchise marketing team
- Attend industry events where you will represent Northwood
Your Skills:
The role will be ideal for you if you are:
- Curious, insight-driven and opportunity seeker – source and create original content and campaigns to elevate the Northwood brand and its success
- Content creation – Have strong written, verbal and communication skills; ability to develop engaging copy for the website, blog and social media channels with a strong understanding of SEO best practices
- Experience in social media management – including creating content, engaging with the community and analysing metrics (Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram)
- Graphic design – a strong understanding of design principles and ability to create visually appealing materials (digital and print)
- Have a passion for developing your skills and knowledge in line with current marketing trends
- Pro-active and a team player; ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, share key information and encourage engagement
- Proficient with Microsoft packages
- Proficient with design packages, such as Illustrator, InDesign would be advantageous but not essential
- Have an excellent track record within marketing and communications.
A driving licence is required, as there will be travel between our branches in the North East as well as attending events.Working hours:
- Flexible hours, to be discussed (Approx 4 days per week if individual role or less if job share)
