An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Finance team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for a Finance Partner role. This will be a permanent role for a CCAB qualified accountant, with a great opportunity to work across the Finance function, supporting Corporate Services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, finance professional playing a key role in shaping what our service delivery looks like, making a difference in the challenging financial environment, both now and in the future.
We need a team player, who is proactive, resilient and driven to succeed, with a real commitment to work as part of the team taking the finance function forward and making a difference to our patient population. In return we offer great opportunities to become part of a vibrant organisation where strong values are part of our vision to provide high quality care to patients in an environment of trust, respect, honesty and compassion.
The successful candidate will be able to provide comprehensive financial advice, and support managers to understand the efficiency and effectiveness of resources within their control. They will need to be persuasive when dealing with conflicting priorities and ensure that financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood at all levels of the Trust, and optimum value for money is achieved.
The Finance Partner will liaise closely with Divisional and Trust stakeholders in an outward-facing role to utilise their financial acumen to support in the development of annual plans, forecasts and identification of key risks and mitigations to delivery of the plan. You will be involved in influencing business decisions by providing support and challenge in the development of business cases for investment.
They should have excellent communication skills and the necessary personal qualities to engage effectively with Senior Managers and their teams. We are looking to bring in fresh views and new practices so, whilst previous NHS experience can be a strength, we are also keen to hear from those who have never considered working for the NHS before.
