Due to high demand in and across Wigan. We are seeking a proactive and dedicated School Caretakers to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our school facilities are maintained to the highest standards and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and general upkeep of school buildings and grounds.
- Oversee the cleanliness and safety of the school premises, including classrooms, offices, hallways, and outdoor areas.
- Manage and maintain the school's heating, lighting, and plumbing systems, and report any issues to relevant contractors.
- Assist with setting up and clearing away for school events and activities.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Ensure that all cleaning and maintenance supplies are stored correctly and are in good condition.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers as necessary.
- Handle emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Requirements
- An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Comprehensive CV covering the last 10 years of education/employment history with any breaks explained.
