Role Overview
As a Housing Officer, you will deliver a high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management service to both general needs and sheltered residents. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that residents sustain their tenancies, actively engage in decision-making, and enjoy living in well-managed neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities
Tenancy & Leasehold Management: Manage a designated patch of tenancies, ensuring compliance with all agreements and addressing breaches where necessary.
Resident Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, enhancing their satisfaction and overall quality of life.
Support for Vulnerable Residents: Identify and support vulnerable residents by connecting them to relevant support services.
Tenancy Audits: Lead tenancy audits within your patch to keep business intelligence up to date on the properties and residents you manage.
Fire Safety Compliance: Identify and report fire safety issues, ensuring all necessary actions are taken to comply with best practice guidelines.
Voids & Re-letting: Work closely with the voids team to minimise rent loss and achieve performance targets.
Housing Advice: Provide high-quality housing advice and signpost residents to appropriate services.
Anti-Social Behaviour Management: Lead on ASB cases, ensuring swift resolution through effective partnership working.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies on estates, providing on-site support and reassurance to residents.
