Software Support Engineer - Application Support. - MS - SQL Server.
Location: Salisbury for 3 months, then moving to hybrid after 3 months (3 days from home a week)
The company are an established software house that develop enterprise software solutions.
They are looking for an Application / Software Support engineer with experience in Ms-SQL.
The role involves working within a team of 5 providing application support with some installation work on the companies own software solutions, which are SQL Server based.

Job Role
install and configure computer applications
provide support over the phone or via remote desktop software, clients resolve issues
follow instructions and guidance in Confluence to find a fault or set up a system
support the roll-out of new applications
prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers
Skills
a good memory of how software and operating systems work
excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
the ability to work well in a team
strong problem-solving skills
the ability to prioritise your workload
Ideally have experience in support or a familiarity with software and working in a technical environment.
Be familiar with a ticketing system for the receipt of issues and updating with internal notes of your actions and communications with the client
Ability to translate technical information to varying levels of end-user literacy
