The Opportunity:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT law, including IT procurement and cybersecurity regulations, across Roche’s technological projects
- Legal Analysis and Advice: Conduct and deliver in-depth legal analysis and advice on various IT-related matters, identifying potential risks and providing strategic recommendations
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of IT contracts, including software licensing, cloud services, and procurement agreements, ensuring alignment with legal standards and business objectives
- Cybersecurity: Advise on cybersecurity laws and regulations (e.g., NIS2 and CRA), providing guidance on data protection and breach management
- Policy Development: Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies related to IT procurement and cybersecurity, fostering best practices and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Training and Awareness: Provide training and updates to internal stakeholders on developments in IT law and their implications, promoting a culture of compliance and awareness
- Networking and Representation: Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with external legal experts, regulatory authorities, and industry associations to stay abreast of emerging trends and advocate for Roche’s positions
Who You Are:
- Educational Background: University Degree in Law plus Bar Exam, ideally with a focus on IT law, cybersecurity, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional legal experience dealing with IT law, including IT procurement and cybersecurity
- Skills:
- Excellent analytical and system-thinking abilities, capable of understanding and navigating complex legal and technological landscapes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to impact and engage diverse stakeholders effectively
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Networking: Proven ability to build and maintain effective professional networks within the legal and IT communities
