Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30PM
Location: Imjin Barracks and surrounding sites
We are seeking a motivated and reliable General Labourer to contribute to projects at Imjin Barracks and the surrounding sites. As a General Labourer, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining worksites, assisting in a team of 12 engineers and ensuring safety standards are met.
This is an excellent position in which to progress your skills, and there will be the opportunity to develop into a full Multi-Skilled Operative role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out a variety of tasks including but not limited to, flushing, water softener top ups, plant room housekeeping, changing AHU filters, basic maintenance repairs, escorting contractors and much more.
Carry out risk assessments for tasks and ensure all H&S requirements are adhered to.
Assist engineers with more complex jobs and provide 2nd person support as required.
Escort and supervise external contractors as required.
Work with minimal supervision to deliver service level agreements and key performance indicators.
Deliver exceptional service and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest standard.
Utilise both electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record jobs, including ordering materials.
Demonstrate VIVO core values to internal/external customers and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Basic IT proficiency (including using a PDA).
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Organized and efficient time management.
Full UK driving license (work van provided).
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in a MOD environment or with FM service providers.
Previous general maintenance experience.
Familiarity with computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) systems (e.g., Maximo).
