Sowena Group has been exclusively retained by an ambitious and entrepreneurial private equity backed services group based in Cheshire who are looking for a new Finance Director. Within the role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring sound financial management to achieve the company's exit strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will play a key role in shaping the financial direction of the company and ensuring sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and implement the company's financial strategy to support its overall business goals and growth objectives.
- Budget Management: Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor financial performance against budgets and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and board presentations. Maintain compliance with UK accounting standards and regulations.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks to the organisation, including credit, market, and operational risks. Develop and implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks.
- Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance & support team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and high performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Build and maintain strong relationships to support business growth and sustainability.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and management, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Tax Planning and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, and optimise tax planning to minimise the company's tax liability.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Provide financial due diligence and strategic input on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate development activities.
Package: between £95,000 to £110,000 bonus car allowance strong equity incentive
