Our Luton depot is growing, with more machines coming in and going out each day, and therefore we are looking for a Yard Labourer to support the team. The Yard Labourer will be an additional pair of hands that can support the Foreman Service Engineer in the effective running of maintenance operations whilst ensuring a continued high level of service to our customers.

About you:

· You can be an ambassador for Star Platforms, providing a high standard of customer care and pride yourself on always being polite.

· You can prepare and paint a machine and can use the equipment and materials appropriately

· You can complete basic company administration processes

· You are able to use equipment and tools in the correct manner

· You pride yourself in maintaining high levels of personal appearance, ensuring uniform and personal protective equipment are used correctly

· You are enthusiastic, conscientious, reliable, and flexible

· You can work well under pressure

An average day as a Yard Operative

· Paint and maintain machine decals and provide general depot maintenance where required

· Ensure electric machines are on charge before and after inspection

· Act as an ambassador for, and ensure compliance with, Quality, Health & Safety standards

· You will complete relevant paperwork for the tasks you have carried out

· Assist with loading and unloading of machines as they arrive, or are preparing to leave, the depot

· Carry out tasks to maintain the depot, to ensure it is kept tidy and organised

· Provide your colleagues with on-site support when needed
