Teacher of Science to join their permanent staff list starting in January 2025. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students' academic progress, ensuring lessons cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to the continued improvement of the Science curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress in line with national standards.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of all students.
- Actively participate in the school’s extracurricular activities and initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Degree in Science or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level (Key Stage 3 and 4). Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for Science and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning.
Desirable
- Experience in teaching a specialism within Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) to Key Stage 4 or higher.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular clubs or activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
