Position: Experienced SEN Science Teacher
We are seeking a highly skilled SEN Science Teacher for a specialized SEN School located in the North of Hampshire.
About The School
A residential special school catering to young people aged 11-19, with a small student population (30-40 pupils).
The school supports students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or other related conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork, with high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
Have a proven track record of raising academic attainment.
Be adaptable and confident in varying educational environments.
Display excellent classroom management skills.
Deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to the needs of the students.
Possess a thorough understanding of child safeguarding, with the ability to respond effectively and efficiently to concerns.
Additional Duties
Build positive relationships with students to foster trust and support their emotional development.
Plan and deliver curriculum-based lessons, while assessing student progress.
Adhere to the educational philosophy and standards of the school.
Collaborate with specialist advisors and support teams.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification.
Strong knowledge of the Science National Curriculum, with experience teaching up to GCSE level.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN.
Experience working with young people with Autism.
Leadership experience in an educational setting.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be updated through Teaching Personnel if required).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
