The Depot Bakery is an artisan sourdough and confection bakery, serving two cafe venues and wholesale clients across Sheffield.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic junior baker to join our team. You should have experience in a similar role/environment with a decent grounding and knowledge of artisan methods and techniques, and a breadth of experience across a product range that includes, bread, pastries and cakes.
We need someone familiar with mixing, shaping and baking a range of breads and experience with laminated products, and able to mix, scale, mould and bake a range of doughs at a good pace, with experience of working with pre-ferments.
You should have great attention to detail and be always striving to improve products and processes. Ability to uphold and follow recipes, whilst creating and developing new products is crucial, and roles are shared and rotated meaning plenty of variety and scope to bring new ideas.
You will be joining a talented and passionate team, and must be a team player whilst still working independently when needed on your section.
You will adhere to strict compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety, and contribute to our positive working cultures.
