Vehicle Assembler - Bus

Driver Hire (Torbay) are looking for Vehicle Assemblers/ Fitters for our client based in Newton Abbot. This is on a temp-to-perm basis.

Key Details

• Hourly: £13
• Typical working hours: 08:00 - 4:30pm Monday to Friday
• Annual holiday entitlement in any holiday year is 28 days, inclusive of all public holiday entitlement. Following the completion of 5 years' continuous service, holiday entitlement will increase by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.
• Pension 5% employee and 3% employer contribution
• Full UK/EU licence required.
  
  

Daily Duties

• Read and understand basic mechanical drawings and SOP's
• Skilfully use a wide range of air and hand tools
• Follow a defined process without deviation
• Maintain and build all assemblies to the quality standard required
• Use and maintain company tools in a safe, clean, and workable condition
• Complete all company documentation where necessary and maintain all work areas to company standard
  
  

Essential Skills And Experience

Great communication skills and friendly, professional approach

• Attention to detail
• Ability to work well on your own initiative and as part of a team
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics would be useful but not essential if you're a candidate willing to learn
• Maintain and build all assemblies to the quality standard required
• You will be competent in working with power and air tools and have a flexible, can-do attitude. Experience of working within a manufacturing site/production line would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Training can be provided for the right candidates.
