U-Educate are currently recruiting for a Pastoral Leader to work in secondary school based in Halesowen. This is full time, fixed term 12 month role due to start in September 2024.
Job Description
To act as a DSL as required, ensuring strategic priorities are achieved to keep vulnerable children safe.
Ensure support packages have a clear focus on learning, progress and the development of skills and competencies.
Contribute to coaching, mentoring and sharing good practice.
Contribute to individual pupil records ensuring they have up-to-date details of the curriculum support, input and alternative intervention / support that has been provided.
Support the drive for excellent academic results by ensuring pupils needing intervention receive support, encouragement and guidance as appropriate and necessary to raise individual pupil achievement and aspirations
Develop and implement additional learning opportunities where necessary
Liaise effectively with pupils, staff, parents and other interested parties
Work in partnership with the teaching staff to implement agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses/needs
Requirements
Previous experience pastoral support experience.
Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children
Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-educate if you have not got a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months)
