Cost Accountant - Permanent Role - Inhouse - £27000 - £30000 plus benefits
My long term client seeks a part-qualified accountant to work in a vital part of their business. Your responsible role will lead to a bright future if you want to progress wiithin the business.
Support an experienced Manager to ensure that the department can manage, report and control rental agreements, sale of new and used trucks to dealers and customers. Ensure records and data for all trucks are complete and correct, process orders and invoices and prepare accurate and timely reports for senior management to enable effective business decisions to be made. Check that rental agreements/orders are in line with sales protocol.

Key Tasks/and cover requirements
- Supervise the a small team, circa 4 staff, with support from the Manager, including one to one’s and appraisal of performance if required.
- Raise queries directly with Management/Salesman on all issues outside of Sales Protocol.
- Ensure DVLA records are maintained/updated and appropriate payment and paperwork raised. Register truck for Road Use and raising payment.
- Maintain record of trucks on Plant Book
- Ensure sales commissions are recorded accurately and the monthly reporting is raised timely for payroll and agreed with the Sales team
- Support & cover in the Preparation of monthly reports/KPI’s and month end reconciliations and develop new reporting to identify areas for improvements
- Updating of KPI log to monitor timescale of order received from customer to order placed with suppliers
- Ad-hoc projects and reports as required.
- Support in recovery of rental of trucks suspended and ensure authorised, managed and reported.
- Ensure Sales packs are tracked and processed in an efficient manner, and KPI reported.
- Provide support and cover for other members of the VSB team as required
- Develop new procedures, improvements, and controls to improve profitability
- Management of estimated costs, Refurb costs
- Updating of CRM data on Trucks is always accurate
- Manage and monitor/ record 3rd party leasing arrangement of truck. Ensure any requirement to re-purchase of trucks are actioned.
- Manage buy back agreements and ensure we obtain correct and timely reporting
- Manage demo fleet to ensure regular report / location of demo fleet
- Provide cover for the Track and monitor Sales Packs received Into Nottingham VSB department and ensure correct approval process and pack is complete.
- Provide cover for the Input Sales Pack into Kerridge and ensure all data is accurately updated. Ensuring that current Franchise Data is available.
- Support and assist in Kerridge Franchise Data and complete the checks required to ensure accurate Quotation/pricing and compliance with Sales Protocol.
- Assist in Ensure we raise invoices to Fleet Kompact and truck Invoices In a timely manner (ensure accurate data and detail is printed on invoice).
- maintaining regular communication with Corby/Surrey prep centres and to assist in the training of future acquisitions in relation to VSB procedures
After 3 months 4% pension contribution (theirs in line with Government minimum which will increase to a total of 8% in April 2019)
