Contract Manager - NHS - South West
Venn Group is currently working on an exciting opportunity with an NHS organisation, based in the South West, who are seeking a highly capable Contract Manager to join their team.
Previous Public Sector experience is highly desireable for this role. Previous Contracts Management and Negotiation experience is essential.
Job Title: Contract Manager
Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 pa. (DoE)
Start Date: ASAP preffered
Shift Pattern: Full time, hybrid working
Location: South West
Responsible to: Head of Contracts
Main duties of the job:
- Responsible for leading the comprehensive contract management function within the organisation, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met and providing extensive support to a diverse portfolio of contracts across various sectors and industries
- Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with both providers and customers, ensuring that there is a clear alignment in goals and expectations, and facilitating open communication channels to foster collaboration and mutual success
- Lead the meticulous management of a wide range of contracts, focusing on key dimensions such as activity, cost, performance, and service delivery, to ensure that all contractual requirements are fully adhered to and that performance targets are consistently met or exceeded
- Highlight and proactively support the resolution of contract risks by identifying potential issues early, addressing them promptly and effectively, and implementing strategies to mitigate any negative impacts on the organisation
- Provide robust support to Senior and Lead Contract Managers in the management of larger, more complex contracts, offering valuable insights, detailed analysis, and practical assistance to ensure successful contract execution and management
- Requires a proactive, highly detail-oriented individual who is capable of navigating complex contractual landscapes with ease, demonstrating strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of contract law and management principles
About You Experience and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of public sector contract management principles
- Ability to build trust, confidence, and demonstrate integrity in advice and support.
- Proven success in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Qualifications and Training:
- Postgraduate Diploma in relevant subject or equivalent experience in Contract Management to a post graduate diploma level.
- Demonstrates commitment to own continued professional development (CPD).
