We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Lead to offer flexibility to the catering department. As a Catering Lead you will provide high quality, cost effective and safe services to learners, staff and visitors.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need a varied background in catering, working in education settings would be advantageous.
You would be responsible for working with team members (experienced and new to role) ensuring a high level of quality food provision.
As a Catering Lead, you will have the skills to cook foods for the daily menus. You would also work as part of the team carrying out all duties as expected in a catering department; to ensure high level of customer service during service, to ensure that high quality cleaning regimes are adhered to, and stock is always kept safe, stored appropriately, and rotated securely. The Catering Lead will act as a role model to members of the Catering team always offering support to other staff.
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, who is flexible to meet the needs of our learners and the team. You will need to have Food Safety Level 2 and be able to use a computer or be willing to partake in the training required.
