Foreman
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced foreman to work within our factory based in the Meadowhall area of Sheffield.
The main role and responsibility of the foreman is to manage shop floor operatives within a steel fabrication environment.
You will work closely with the production controller is to ensure production targets are met in terms of delivery dates and quality.
This is a permanent full-time position
· Basic Salary between £38K - £43K paid monthly (Dependent on experience)

· Working Hours Monday – Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm (41.5 Hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
· Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop.
· Allocating workloads to a team of fabricators/welders to ensure production levels are met.
· Ensure quality standards are met to include the checking of welded fabricated products to EN1090.
· Attend daily production meeting
· General maintenance of machinery including assisting with repairs, servicing and breakdowns.
· Ensure H&S standards and good housekeeping on the factory floor are adhered to
· Tool Boxes Talks
· Recruitment & Training
· HR of factory staff (incl. Back to work interviews, disciplinary, etc)
· Close and secure factory
Key Requirements
The successful applicant must have experience working within a fabrication/metal working environment.
· 3 Years supervisory experience working within a factory environment.
· Experience of metal working machinery to include press brakes, power presses, guillotines, and plasma profiling machines.
· Experience of MMA/MIG welding techniques.
· Ability to prioritise and manage workload according to requirements and work to tight timescales
· Able to develop effective working relationships with employees
· Ability to read technical production drawings.
· Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication is preferable but not essential
