General Manager - Automotive Repair Shop
General manager to lead an automotive repair shop in Cedar Rapids. This position will be responsible for end-to-end shop and staff performance including sales, estimating, profitability, cash flow, production, customer service, employee relations, vendor relations, and more.
Skills, Responsibilities and Experience
- Multiple years of experience in various aspects of auto repair operations management
- Skilled at best practices for all areas of an auto shop but especially customer service, diagnosing, scheduling, estimating, and parts procurement.
- Recruiting, hiring, developing, and maintaining an effective team of technicians will be critical.
- Train and coach team members to be higher performers
- Maintains a professional demeanor with customers while delivering high quality repairs.
- Work with bookkeeper to track and report on monthly financial performance
- Review and approve payroll
- Manage substantial parts inventory
- Maintain shop equipment
- Experience using a computer.
- Specialty in transmissions repair is a plus.
- Auto salvage experience a plus
- Maintain a safe, rewarding, and efficient work environment
- Must be willing to work on site full time in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Base Pay Depends On Experience ($85k-$100k /year)
- Eligible for significant quarterly profit sharing bonuses.
