What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
Produce accurate and clear engineering drawings and accurate bills of materials for new and existing products
Create custom designs and layouts in SolidWorks/Pro-Engineer
Evaluate design changes, specifications and drawing releases
Prepare costing reports on current and new designs
Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame and procedures
Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
Prepare interim and completion project reports
utilize computer modeling programs such as SolidWorks
Skills:
Mechanical engineering, Design, Solidworks, Mechanical, Mechanical design, Sheet metal
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors or Associates degree in Engineering preferred
1 years of manufacturing experience
Strong CAD experience, solidworks/Creo preferred
