What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hardware Test Engineer position at Actalent?
Responsibilities:
o The candidate will be involved in end-to-end product testing and creating test plans/ procedures
o Create & write test scripts using NI Test Stand, Python, LabVIEW, etc.
o Setup hardware and fixtures for the creation of test stations
o SQL/MySQL database management - analyze data and make improvements to current testing processes
o Generate manufacturing test plans and procedures, in cooperation with the engineering teams, in order to ensure a quality manufactured product
o Identify, procure, build, and implement the necessary hardware, fixture, or test stations in order to perform manufacturing testing
o Implement and maintain test software and scripts on the product or test equipment which will interface to necessary backend data collection tools
o Analyze and troubleshoot failures in a timely manner to feedback improvements to the manufacturing or engineering teams
o Review quality data to ensure processes are in control and failures are identifiable
o Perform ongoing quality audits on production builds
o Produce relevant manufacturing test documentation, fixture drawings, and quality metric reports
o Responsible for interfacing directly with customers as well as other internal departments to share quality reports, process improvements, and findings
o Evaluate and continuously improve our factory test procedures and equipment so that we continue to offer best-in-class quality and efficiency
o Perform other product testing and manufacturing operations responsibilities as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelors in STEM
- 5 years in test engineering (end-to-end testing)
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining manufacturing test validation stations in a manufacturing environment
- Experience scripting in Python
Plus Haves:
- LabVIEW, C#, .NET programming
- NI Test Stand
- SQL/MySQL for database management
