What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patent Agent position at Actalent?
An innovative company with a mission to ease the climate crisis and make people's lives more convenient is looking for a patent agent to join their growing team! Looking for someone passionate about the environment to work with their developers to patent and document products. Engineering background and knowledge of things like VLSI, Systems Verilog, and circuit design.
Description:
• Update and maintain internal patent process
• Assist with patent portfolio strategy
• Assist with companywide IP meetings ( every 8 weeks)
• Generate patent interrogatories for internal stakeholders to assist in developing claim outlines
• Research, interview stakeholders, and draft patent specifications
• Run prior art searches
• Run periodic competitor/new patent searches in areas of strategic interest
• Prepare materials for executive management using key performance indicators for the patent portfolio and strategy

Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
3 years of experience
