What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Actalent?
Actalent is currently partnering with a laboratory in the Maryville area in need of multiple Phlebotomists to join their team. Please see below for details and qualifications!
Description:
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of experience required
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
Details:
- Entry Level
- 1st or 2nd shift openings, with weekends
- 1st shift: $17-18.50/hr, BOE; 2nd shift $18.50-20/hr, BOE
- COVID vaccine required
