Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of patients. This role involves correlating the nursing process with the medical plan of care and hospital policies. The position is specifically for a Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a hospital with 12 L&D beds, maintaining a 2 to 1 patient ratio.
Responsibilities
- Assess and plan nursing care for patients.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided.
- Correlate the nursing process with the medical plan of care and hospital policies.
- Provide patient care, including fetal monitoring.
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
Essential Skills
- Labor and delivery experience.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
- Current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification in CPR and Fetal Monitoring.
- NRP and ACLS certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- At least one year of experience as an R.N., preferably in the area of application.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong patient care skills.
Work Environment
This position involves working night shifts with rotating weekends. Nurses have the ability to self-schedule and work with weekend nurses, but may rotate one weekend a quarter or more. The hospital is a full-service, 180-bed facility that provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. The hospital is nationally recognized for patient safety.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
