Role and Responsibilities:
- Assessing clients to determine care needs and level of care required.
- Creating care/service plans in collaboration with clients, physicians, and healthcare providers.
- Performing regular reassessments and observations, charting observations, and documenting changes in client health.
- Researching and recommending ways to improve client’s quality of life.
- Educating clients and/or responsible parties.
- Training and supervising direct care workers/caregivers.
- Supporting and instructing employees providing direct care.
- Ensuring client and employee safety and security.
- Maintaining communication with client’s physician and healthcare providers.
- Coordinating care services between Aiko Home Care LLC and other healthcare providers.
- Preserving client confidentiality and agency matters.
- Maintaining accurate records and submitting required documentation.
- Responding to emergencies and participating in weekend and holiday shifts.
- Participating in special projects, surveys, and studies.
- Supervising direct care worker/caregiver dress code and attendance.
- Reporting suspected or witnessed cases of abuse and serious incidents.
- Assisting in policy formation and revision.
- Collaborating with the Administrator on care provision decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Protecting agency resources, supplies, and property.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Active on the Georgia Nurse Registry.
- Valid state licensure.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
- 1-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in home care.
- Organizational and supervisory skills (advantageous).
- Ability to think and act quickly in emergencies.
- Kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental demeanor.
- Computer literate with excellent English communication skills.
- Team-player with respect for clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with or without direct supervision.
- Understanding of industry regulations and compliance with State and Federal laws.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control and OSHA procedures.
- Physical ability to stand for long hours, lift or support clients with mobility issues.
- Excellent visual and auditory senses.
- Pass background screening.
- Willingness to travel with valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Evidence of adequate health status to perform duties.
