What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Manager position at Alphia?
Essential Job Duties:
- Oversee and review work environment for personnel and pet food production
- Monitor and coordinate work environments and operations
- Address, but not limited to, various quality or safety issues as required and oversee corrective actions needed
- Monitor & assist in the receiving & unloading of raw ingredients
- Assist in training of personnel
- Perform and assist various other duties in multiple departments
- Participate in Management Team meetings
- Oversee supervision of hiring, disciplinary program, enforcement and termination of assigned personnel.
- New Employee orientation
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- 3 years of supervising personnel within a fast paced environment
- Previous manufacturing experience is highly desirable
- Must be able to collaborate cross-functionally with different departments to address any issues during production
