**Job Summary:**
Desktop Support / IT Support contract
We are looking for a dedicated IT Support professional for our customer location. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to our customer location ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, software, and hardware. The IT Support role involves resolving technical issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and delivering exceptional customer service.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide desktop support to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Set up and configure VPN connections for remote employees.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing user inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Manage Linux-based systems and ensure their proper functioning.
- Monitor and maintain firewall security to protect network integrity.
- Assist with Office suite applications and troubleshoot related problems.
- Administer various operating systems to optimize performance.
- Respond to help desk tickets in a timely manner and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and resolution.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles to support network infrastructure.
**Skills:**
- Proven experience in desktop support and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in setting up and managing VPN connections.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
