What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Coordinator position at AMHC?
AMHC is in search of a Transportation Coordinator in the Caribou area. The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Transportation Service component of the agency’s Community Support Program. In this capacity, the Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that mental health consumers' transportation needs in Aroostook County are identified and provided for. They will plan and facilitate the quarterly meeting to assist in planning, implementing, and other ongoing operations.
Qualifications:
- A combination of education and/or experience in a relatable field is required
- An understanding of Mental illness is necessary
- A valid driver's license is necessary
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Provide education and assist in the development of transportation plans for consumers
- Maintain a tracking system to assist in determining eligibility for services
- Schedule and coordinate available resources
- Collaborate with other transportation providers
- Recruit, train and supervise the transportation volunteer pool
Schedule:
- This is a 40-hour per week position
- Individuals may be asked to work a flexible schedule which could include a Saturday or Sunday at times
