What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Technician position at AMT Engineering?
A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Traffic Technician to join our Traffic Engineering team in one of our Mid-Atlantic office locations of Rockville, MD, Towson, MD, and Washington, DC. Location can be flexible for the right candidate.
\n- Install and retrieve intrusive (rubber tubes) and non-intrusive (video cameras) traffic counting equipment.
- Manual vehicle-occupancy counts, delay studies, etc.
- Must be willing to travel statewide MD, WV, VA, and NC.
- Work can take place daytime and nighttime, 5-6 days per week, 10 hours per day.
- Overtime pay provided.
- Lodging/meal provided for work located 2 hours away from HQ.
- Must reside in MD or District of Columbia
- Must have clean driving record. Must pass background check.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs of equipment.
- Must be capable of performing outdoor work that requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold and other conditions.
- Required to run, stop, kneel, and crouch at job sites.
- Computer / Microsoft Office savvy.
