Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors aggregate supplies and order as needed.
- Develop profitable purchasing strategies.
- Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices, prepare
- and receive purchase orders, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services.
- Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
- Build and manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain proper pricing, quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance with terms of contracts.
- Analyze and resolve purchasing issues/discrepancies.
- Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
- Purchase equipment, tools, parts, supplies or services necessary for company operation.
- Monitor stock levels. Maintain organized parts stock and replenish box vans daily.
- Maintain the schedule and delivery of all Apex owned or rented small equipment, tools and supplies to Apex job sites.
- Inspect all equipment and tools for damages. All electric tools must be checked to make sure that guards have not been removed, cords are not damaged, and all moving parts are functioning properly.
- Oversee the check-in and out process for the parts cage.
- Maintain anything checked in and out from the parts cage.
- Performs weekly and monthly inventory reports and analysis of usage.
- Observe and report price increases and decreases.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production, distribution capabilities, and the supplier reputation/history.
- Receiving of stock orders from local vendors and always keep an updated inventory.
- Study sales records and inventory levels of current stock to develop strategic purchasing programs that facilitate employee access to supplies.
- Input all pertinent costs associated with each job in order to provide accurate costing data.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 2 years of strong and relevant work experience.
- Well-developed analytical thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
- Persistent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, including oral and written expression and comprehension and reasoning
- Excellent Computer/Office skills, including MS Office.

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
