Arc Herkimer is looking for a Head Chef for our MV Golf and Event Center located in Little Falls, NY. The Head Chef is in charge of MV Golf and Event Center food service operations. This position ensures food quality in all outlets meets or exceeds the expectations of members and guests. The Head Chef has a thorough understanding of all positions within the department and works with their team to ensure member and guest satisfaction. This is a full-time position.
Rate of Pay: $58,500 per year exempt
Hours: Vary; must have a flexible workday and ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the management of both back and front of the house staff and operations under the supervision of the General Manager
- Responsible for planning and execution/oversight of all menus and food events including seasonal menus and weekly specials
- Responsible for all major food preparation and cooking on the line, as well as banquet and catering events
- Ensure meals leaving the kitchen are consistent in presentation and quality
- Responsible for developing positive relationships with food suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective food supply
- Ensure safety and sanitary requirements are met by food and beverage staff
- Maintain refrigerator and freezer, storage areas and entire kitchen preparation area in regulation with Health Department standards
- Be fully aware of industry trends and offer suggestions for improvement of the member dining, banquet and catering operation
- Review menu pricing annually.
- Responsible for overseeing maintenance and repair of food and beverage equipment
- Work closely with Event Coordinator in developing cost effective and professional banquet and catering package for guest presentation
- Work directly with Event Coordinator on all banquet and catering events
- Must be able to work a flexible workday and/or weekends
- Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be required by supervisor
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Specialty/Technical training preferred.
- Minimum five years experience in culinary arts
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience required.
- Knowledge of all kitchen operations, food cost and inventory principles, and safety/sanitation procedures/training required.
- Arc Herkimer approvable driver’s license required
