What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Coordinator position at Argo Group?
Under general supervision, this role provides effective and efficient administrative support for the HR function primarily focusing on HR data entry for the US business units.
This role may be located near our Chicago, IL office with the opportunity to work partly remote.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
HRIS
- Enter and maintain accurate data entry into Workday (promotions, job changes, location, termination, org assignments, etc.)
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve data entry issues
- Escalate complex data entry issues to HRIS team
- Submit de-provisioning forms for termination of employee network accounts
- Perform periodic audits to verify data integrity in accordance with compliance and compensation guidelines.
- Provide monthly headcount, transfer and position reporting to authorized managers and customers within and outside of HR
- Complete annual EEO-1 reporting for the EEOC
- Assist with data analysis for ad-hoc requests as needed
HR
- Maintain accurate HR records and organize the filing of confidential HR documents
- Interacts, builds relationships and effectively communicates with the various HR functional areas and employees
- Process invoices
- Provide solutions to streamline or improve data entry processes
- Respond to all employee queries sent to HR Operations inbox
- Support HR projects as required
- Support the Compensation and Benefits leadership team, as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
- 2 – 3 years of previous HRIS experience is required.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Previous administration experience is essential.
- High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience with Workday or applicant tracking platforms is preferred.
