What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at AutoZone?
Takes ownership of category strategy as it relates to planograms and stores space on the sales floor, informed by thoughtful analysis and strong collaboration with cross-functional partners
Develops and improves analytic and technical tools utilized by our team and others, including those available through our team website
Works closely with Visual Merchandisers and Category Managers to ensure category milestones are being met and maintain planogram integrity
Works to understand business requirements from Merchandising, Store Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Legal and Finance as it relates to store space, assortment, and planograms
Develops recommendations for category initiatives, including tests, product mix, clustering and assortment changes
- A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
- Three to five years experience in Business Administrations, Statistics, Engineering or comparable field.
- Experience in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, Category Management or comparable field
- Ability to derive actionable insights from large and diverse data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively distil complex technical and analytic information for a lay audience
- Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail oriented
- Proficient in SQL
Preferred:
- Experience with SAS, R, or Python
- Experience with C#, Java, or similar language
