Job Description
The Packer will be responsible for packaging and preparing orders for delivery or shipment according to customer specifications or company guidelines. The Packer will be responsible for setting up and operating industrial robots to perform all necessary packaging jobs such as but not limited to, banding, wrapping packages, and folding orders. The Packer will also be responsible for unloading trucks when needed.
Other Duties
·Prepare materials for production or storage by cutting, sorting, rinsing, and inspecting items for quality.
·Ensure that work areas are cleaned and maintained properly.
·Perform basic math calculations and organize materials by color so that finished products match specifications.
·Sort material by weight or count inventory to meet standards.
·Follow safety rules at all times. In particular, safety rules such as “no smoking in the work area,” “no working above 90 degrees,” and “to prevent injuries from accidents, workers are prohibited from lifting or move heavy items that weigh less than 50 pounds” are followed at all times.
·Other duties as assigned.
Skills
·Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
·Ability to use common tools and equipment in the work area.
·Ability to read and write the English language.
·Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to complete work assignments promptly.
·Ability to use computer software programs on a regular basis to perform job duties.
·Familiarity with quality control practices in manufacturing industries preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
