Responsibilities:
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within property. Have the ability to unite both FOH and BOH towards a common goal of continually raising the bar. Wine Program Development: Curate and manage a diverse and high-quality wine list that complements our beverage offerings. Stay updated on wine trends and continuously seek out new and exciting options.
- Staff Training: Train and mentor bar staff on wine knowledge, service techniques, and customer engagement to enhance their skills and performance.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events, wine tastings, and promotions to attract and engage customers.
- Guest Engagement: Provide personalized wine recommendations and exceptional service to guests, creating memorable experiences and fostering guest loyalty.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage wine inventory, including ordering, storage, and control. Ensure proper handling and rotation to maintain quality and minimize waste.
- Financial Oversight: Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the bar, including tracking expenses, managing costs, and implementing strategies to achieve financial goals.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a bar manager or similar role, with a strong focus on wine. Proven track record of managing bar operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Wine Expertise: Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and industry trends. Certification from a recognized wine education program (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers) is highly desirable.
- Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to train and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of service. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Education: A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Additional wine education or certifications are a plus.
