What are the responsibilities and job description for the Key Account Manager position at Biocodex Inc.?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Educate and sell the benefits and attributes of Biocodex USA products to all key customers within the professional healthcare space (acute, clinical, and chronic) and Corporate Accounts nationwide. o This will be done in conjunction with a 3rd party salesforce who you will partner with, similar to a broker manager capacity. • Serve as point person with professional healthcare customers on annual contract details. • Engage with 3rd party sales force VP of sales on market dynamics & selling requirements. o Ensure 3rd party sales force has necessary tools to sell on behalf of Biocodex USA in professional healthcare space. • Uphold a superior level of product, market, customer, and distribution knowledge to accomplish objectives. o These include the following: ▪ growing sales of current accounts ▪ expanding and building new accounts ▪ ultimately achieve / exceed annual sales targets, new distribution, and other Biocodex KPI’s • Prioritize efforts and resources based on an understanding and assessment of products, territories, and the marketplace for effective coverage of key customers and networks (GPO’s, IDN’s, etc) • Identify and participate in key conventions & meetings for category & customer base • Develop, implement, and monitor territory specific business plan, including an annual engagement (business) plan with each GPO in support of our broader professional healthcare strategy. The plan should include strategies for: o Member outreach o Clinical engagement o Volume projections o Marketing initiatives and investments • Work collaboratively with appropriate internal Biocodex medical sales & marketing, and 3rd party sales force to ensure market & sales activities & tactics are optimized. • Maintain a commitment to ethical promotion within regulatory guidelines • Complete all other duties as assigned (Salesforce account updates, expense reports, booking travel, reports, etc.) • Manage the assigned T&E budget and accurately report budget activity to management QUALIFICATIONS • BA/BS degree required, related certifications a plus • Minimum 5-7 years of industry sales experience (preferably dietary or vitamin & mineral supplements, pharmaceuticals, biotech or medical device) • Experience selling to professional healthcare accounts in acute, chronic, and/or clinical space preferred • Experience with contract negotiations, including strong overall negotiation skills • Experience managing a 3rd party sales force (broker manager relationship) a plus • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals • Strong capability of utilizing strategic selling processes with an effective customer approach • Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office and Salesforce • Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills • Ability to travel as necessary • Valid driver's license required *Biocodex, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
