Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Lead, the Chop Saw Operator is required to trim defective wood out of ripped material from the Rip Saw, maintaining the flow of material off of the Rip Saw and also maintaining the flow of correctly graded and trimmed material onto the FJ Feed Conveyor in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect worksite for each of the following at the start of each shift:
- Equipment is in normal operating condition
- All guarding is in place and functional

Knowledge of all FJ Block Grade Rules used by the Marion FJ Division including:
- Knots
- Wane
- Skip
- Slope of Grain
- Splits
- Unsound Wood
- Timber Breaks
- Refer to Chop Saw Operator Deliverables Addendum for specific targets and KPIs for this role
- Safely maintain lumber flow through the area according to production demands
- Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations
