What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Teller position at Citizens Bank?
Specific Job Functions:
Oversees teller scheduling to ensure efficient, adequate staffing for the branch.
Supervises tellers. Performs normal teller duties, as needed.
Provides on-the-job training for tellers on an as-needed basis. Monitors tellers to ensure compliance with financial institution procedures and policies.
Assists tellers in locating cash discrepancies, manages unusual window transactions, and answers difficult customer questions.
May open new deposit accounts and safe deposit box accounts.Orders cash shipments and verifies cash shipped to the vault. Prepares cash shipments from the vault to the Federal Reserve Bank. Ensures that vault cash is balanced on a daily basis.
Performs monthly and quarterly audits of branch operations.
Conducts performance evaluations for tellers and resolves teller performance issues.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three years teller experience
Supervisory experience in a customer-service environment preferred
Good interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills.
Good computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time while processing customer transactions.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (boxes or bags of coins, etc.)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one to three years teller experience
- Supervisory experience in a customer-service environment preferred
- Above average interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other common PC-based software.
- Ability to learn and follow bank policies regarding new deposit accounts and customer transactions.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time while processing customer transactions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (boxes or bags of coins, etc.)
