Job description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of food meet restaurant standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling practices.
- Adhere to portion control and waste reduction guidelines.
- Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager regarding any issues or concerns.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Pay: $18-$19/hour plus tips

Monday: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: Rest
Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must retain a reasonably open availability, including weekends, and be willing to meet the current needs of the shop.
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
