HR Assistant, Plymouth, temp-to-hire, $23 /hr.
The Human Resources Assistant provides a variety of HR support on a wide range of Human Resources tasks. Assist with all administrative recruiting efforts. Assist Recruiter with scheduling pre- employment tests, onboarding efforts, and maintain Open Req. Report. Create and process new hire paperwork and create files; ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions

- Act as first point of contact for employees requesting information. Receive documents, intake information to pass along to team, provide HR documents and follow up with employees. Answer employee queries about HR related issues.
- Provide employee ESS Login's and instructions; reset as required.
- Prepare New Hire Files, ensure accuracy of recordkeeping requirements.
- Confirm offers and start date with new hires, explain start date hours and policies.
- Prepare new hire kits and email offer letters.
- Prepare new hire documents for orientation/safety documents to be completed during the first week of employment.
- Enter new hire data into Paycom database and performance management system.
- Complete new hire checklist during orientation period.
- Process I-9 documentation, E-Verify and ITAR per regulations and file appropriately.
- Help with various projects as needed (i.e. events, bulletin board notices.)
- Create various correspondence, reports, etc.
- File as required.
Competencies
- Experience with HR software, HRIS and payroll databases (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
- Strong phone, email, Written and in-person communication skills
- Strong ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Provide excellent customer service; respectful and timely completion of requests and associated tasks.
