Position Title : Team Lead CAS Modeler
Duration : Contract
Location : Irvine, California USA
Assignment Description :
- The consultant will work as a Team Lead CAS Modeller / Co-ordinator for Studio Design projects.
- Act as liaison between the Clients' Design Studio team and the Contechs Digital Modelling Team based in the UK and Dearborn.
- The task includes leading the projects efficiently and assuring quality in our Digital delivery from concept modelling through to Class A delivery.
- The work tasks would consist of developing surface models together with Designers and Studio Engineers.
- Experience of delivering interior and exterior CAS programs is essential.
- Preferably, the consultant should be able to work from the concept phase all the way to design freeze.
- Experience / knowledge of Engineering Design for Manufacture principles is required.
- Reporting to Contechs Head of Class-A Surfacing (CAS).
Requirements :
- Minimum 10 years of experience from Digital Modelling work with Icem / Alias within the automotive industry
- Need to have team leader experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate past work from similar work with Alias or Icem Surf within automotive business.
Software and IT :
- Alias Sub D concept modelling.
- Icem Surf / Alias - experienced user
- Teamcenter TCE Experience is a plus
- Microsoft skills - PowerPoint / Excel / Word
Competence Requirements for : CAD (CATIA)
- Data handling and translation from ICEM / Alias to Catia
- Understanding and use of Q-Checker
