We are seeking a highly skilled technical manager with a strong desire to lead global agile teams within scrum agile. At CSC, technical managers establish and maintain an environment where the smartest, most productive, and fun to work with software professionals are motivated to do their best work. Their leadership ensures that teams create and maintain the web-based e-commerce software-as-a-service which is the foundation of CSC’s market leadership. You would be part of a globally distributed Scrum team (Wilmington, India) and collaborate daily to deliver value to CSC’s customers. In this position, you will oversee all technical matters companywide and manage our technical software development team. You will work collaboratively with the product management team, clients, the development team, and various stakeholders within the company to ensure the delivery of all products in an efficient, timely manner. Technical managers at CSC understand that the ultimate measure of success is how delighted our customers are!
Some of the things you’ll be doing:
● Lead development team, scrum team, and championing scrum agile practices
● Conduct interviews, hire and train new IT staff
● Provide guidance and insight to upper management and procure buy-in
● Report progress, including any changes made to plans and production
● Contribute to product design and establishment of requirements
● Delegate technical responsibilities and monitor the progress of projects
● Deliver products consistently, on time, and on budget
● Oversee user testing and report results—adjust requirements as needed
● Work closely with product management and development teams
● Ensure code produced meets company standards
● Collaborate with multiple teams across Product Ownership, Business Operations and IT
● Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time
● Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks
● Provide scope and effort estimates for future initiatives
● Implement and maintain security standards, procedures, and guidelines for software platforms
● Implement and maintain Application performance and stability measures
What technical skills, qualifications, and experience do you need?
● Exceptional communication and reporting skills
● Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Information Systems or related discipline preferred.
● Proven track record of building, mentoring, and coaching an Agile development team in local and remote locations.
● Scrum Master experience with the full lifecycle of enterprise-class software.
● Drive and ability to remove obstacles for team success.
● Understanding and ability to foster an environment of motivation and dedication
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
